Faux Cloisonne

Linda Heller (from Stamping School) introduced me to this fun technique.  It's called - Faux Cloisonne.  You chose an image from a magazine and use a stamp with open spaces (here I used Regarding Dahlias) and gold emboss over the image and cut it out.  The first card I stamped over a jack-o-lantern.  Can you see the mouth & eyes?

The second card I stamped over a chili pie dish from a Woman's Day magazine.  I love the variety of colors. All I did was match the card stock with the embossed image.

Halloween Happiness

Here's a Halloween card where I used the "sunburst technique" with the Witches' Brew designer paper.  I sponged black ink along the edges to make them stand out a little.

Stamps:  Halloween Happiness (wood-#131859), Halloween Hello (wood - #131718, clear - #131721)
Paper:  Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Whisper White, Witches' Brew Designer Paper
Ink:  Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black Marker, Old Olive Marker
Other:  1-1/4" scallop circle punch, 1" circle punch, Stampin' Sponge

Herringbone Card

This is a card that we made at my last "500 club" gathering.  It's using the "herringbone" technique.  Here I used our sticky sheets and cut the designer paper in various widths.  It's a great way to use up your scrap designer paper.
