Missing

Sorry...I've been missing from my blog for over a week.  As you probably heard there was a huge storm come through Ohio on Fri., June 29th.  It whipped right through Lancaster and did a lot of damage.  There were huge trees uprooted and fell on homes and cars.  A lot of the traffic lights were out, filling stations closed due to lack of electricity, and lots of people without electricity.  I lost a big limb from my tree in the front yard and several large ones in the back yard.  It tore down my electric and cable wire right off my house, and damaged several shingles on my roof.  I've been without electric and cable for 9 days.  During this time we had temperatures over 100 degrees.

I finally got my electric back on Sunday afternoon.  During the outage, I went and stayed with my sister (who lives one mile away).  While I was there, my sister and I worked on my swap cards for convention next week.  Do you believe I got about 200 cards made and ready to go?  YAHOO!  I've got to make a few more this week. 

Baptismal Dress

I don't believe I've ever shared this card with you.  I received it last year when I swapped with Paulette Paulson from Minnesota.  It's been in my basket ever since so my customers can see it.  I finally took a picture of it to share with you.

Once she cut the regular size card (4-1/4" x 5-1/2") using Shimmery White card stock and cut the arms, she used the 1-1/4" Circle punch to punch out the neckline.  She ran it through the "Elegant Lines" embossing folder using the Big Shot.  Then finished it off with the white ribbon and the scallop circle punch around the neck.  So beautiful!

Baby Dresser

I made this card for my cousin Brooke's baby shower a couple weeks ago.  She already knows she's going to have a little girl. 

HERE ARE THE INSTRUCTIONS: 

Start with a piece of Pretty in Pink card stock measuring 4" x 10".  Using the decorative label punch punch out the bottom using a portion of the punch.  This makes the legs of the dresser.

Cut 3 pieces of card stock measuring 1" x 3-1/2" for the drawers.  The top of the dresser measures 1/2" x 4-1/4".

Sponge the card, drawers, and the dresser top with Pretty in Pink.

Adhere the 2 bottom drawers onto the card.  Attach the top drawer with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I used the "BABY BUNDLE" stamp set with black Stazon, colored with the Pretty in Pink marker, and cut them out.

I finished off the dresser by using the "Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack"  and punching out 6 little flowers to use as drawer pulls.  I added little pearls to the inside of the flowers.

Need a baby card??

This is one of the cards that we made at my last stamp club.  We cut the Labels Collection Framelit out using the Big Shot, stamped the carriage from the BABY BUNDLE stamp set using black Stazon Pad.  I watercolored it and sponged around the Labels Framelit with Bashful Blue ink.  I attached it onto the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
