Punch Art - Cauldron

I wanted to share another punch art that I made for Halloween.  This is a cauldron that you can use on your Halloween cards.  It's made with....

1 - wide oval punch  (black)  -  belly of the cauldron
1 - large oval punch  (gable green)  -  inside of cauldron
1 - small oval punch  (black)  -  opening of cauldron 
(then using the large oval you will punch over top of it to form an oval ring)
2 - horizontal slot punch  (black)  -  legs
2 - 1/8" circle punch  (black)  -  handles
(then using a 1/4" circle punch you will punch over the 1/8" circle to form a ring)

This is one of the items we will be making at the next Punch Art Class #10 on Thurs., Oct. 22nd along with a witch, bat, and vampire.  EMAIL ME to sign up for the class.

Peppermint Patty Monsters

Aren't these the cutest things?  One of my friends received one as a swap at the Cincinnati regional a couple weeks ago and I took a picture of it.  I don't know who made it, but if you're out there let me know and I'll give you credit.  I've also found them on Jen Sannes' blog.  I call them my "peppermint patty monsters".  We made these last night at one of my punch art classes.  Just to let you know....in between the two scallop circles is a York Peppermint Patty. Yum!

Punch Art - Pumpkins

Autumn begins today - Sept. 22nd. at 5:18 p.m.  This day is called Autumnal Equinox, the sun rises directly in the east and sets directly in the west.  This is true for both the fall & spring equinox. I've already seen some of the leaves on the trees here in Ohio turning colors.  It's one of my FAVORITE seasons of the year because of all the beautiful earth tone colors.  With the fall comes pumpkins.  I decided to share with you my pumpkin punch art.

These pumpkins are so easy to make.  All you need are the two different size oval punches - small and large, and you need to punch out 5 ovals of each size.

I enjoy making cards using our wonderful punches.  Did you know we have 42 punches in our new catalog??  This card was inspired by Amanda Coughlin.  I'm using the new Melon Mambo designer print paper.  This train will be coming up in one of my future punch art classes.  What a cute card for a child.

Punch Art - Lion

This is my lion we created in the first punch art class that I offered.  In the class, we punched out all of the pieces and glued the pieces on a 6" x 6" page and then we put the lion together and glued it on the page as well.  You create him using a variety of punches.  I've given the recipe below. 

1 - Scallop Punch  (Chocolate Chip)  -  mane  (punch twice)
2 - 1-3/8” Circle  (More Mustard)  -  body
2 - 1” Circle  (More Mustard)  -  head
1 - Small Oval  (More Mustard)  -  legs
2 - 1/2” Circle  (More Mustard)  -  cheeks
1 - 1/4” Circle  (Chocolate Chip)  -  nose
