I just returned Sunday from the Stampin' Up! Convention which was held in Salt Lake City. I had a great time. I took several classes, swapped 300 cards, and walked a lot! I'll be showing you some of the displays and cards that I've received or saw on display.
The theme of this year's convention was "I Am". Here is the theme song & video that SU showed us at the very beginning of the convention. The vocal was sung by Jessie Funk and the video includes a lot of the Stampin' Up! home office staff. I believe it's the best theme song yet. Stampin' Up! did a great job on #convention 2012.
Here is a picture of the main stage with Shelli Gardner.
The last night I was there our small group from Ohio went out to eat. Here we are at the Cheesecake Factory. Becky Gibson, Sally Jernigan, Penny Ginnery, Cheri Hunt, Carri Miller, and Roxanna McCullough.
Sorry...I've been missing from my blog for over a week. As you probably heard there was a huge storm come through Ohio on Fri., June 29th. It whipped right through Lancaster and did a lot of damage. There were huge trees uprooted and fell on homes and cars. A lot of the traffic lights were out, filling stations closed due to lack of electricity, and lots of people without electricity. I lost a big limb from my tree in the front yard and several large ones in the back yard. It tore down my electric and cable wire right off my house, and damaged several shingles on my roof. I've been without electric and cable for 9 days. During this time we had temperatures over 100 degrees.
Here are a few pictures!
I finally got my electric back on Sunday afternoon. During the outage, I went and stayed with my sister (who lives one mile away). While I was there, my sister and I worked on my swap cards for convention next week. Do you believe I got about 200 cards made and ready to go? YAHOO! I've got to make a few more this week.
