Diva Coffee Break Designs

It's time for the weekly DIVA COFFEE BREAK DESIGNS challenge.  This week we were given the following card design.

Here is how I got the two colors on the daisies.  I first inked up the whole stamp with Summer Sun, and then took a Pumpkin Pie marker and highlighted just the tips of each of the daisies.  I then took a sponge dauber and tapped along the line (between the two colors) to blend the colors together.  To finish the card I cut 2 small daisies from the Big Shot daisy die and put a corduroy button in the middle.

Autumn Splendor

This is one of the cards that we made at my "AUTUMN CARDS" class last night.  We used the "Autumn Splendor" stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  The single leaf up front was inked up with Pumpkin Pie and we used the sponge dauber to add the Dusty Durango and Always Artichoke colors.

Autumn Days - Swap Cards

Here are several more cards that I received at the Cincinnati Regional earlier this month. 
Both of them using the "Autumn Days" stamp set.  The top card doesn't have a name on the back, and the bottom card I took a picture of at the table.  Sorry, I can't give credit to those that made them.

Peppermint Patty Monsters

Aren't these the cutest things?  One of my friends received one as a swap at the Cincinnati regional a couple weeks ago and I took a picture of it.  I don't know who made it, but if you're out there let me know and I'll give you credit.  I've also found them on Jen Sannes' blog.  I call them my "peppermint patty monsters".  We made these last night at one of my punch art classes.  Just to let you know....in between the two scallop circles is a York Peppermint Patty. Yum!

Punch Art - Pumpkins

Autumn begins today - Sept. 22nd. at 5:18 p.m.  This day is called Autumnal Equinox, the sun rises directly in the east and sets directly in the west.  This is true for both the fall & spring equinox. I've already seen some of the leaves on the trees here in Ohio turning colors.  It's one of my FAVORITE seasons of the year because of all the beautiful earth tone colors.  With the fall comes pumpkins.  I decided to share with you my pumpkin punch art.

These pumpkins are so easy to make.  All you need are the two different size oval punches - small and large, and you need to punch out 5 ovals of each size.

12 Weeks of Christmas

Starting on Wed., Sept. 30th. and every Wednesday for 12 weeks, everyone that is on my email list will receive an email from me with a Christmas project.  I will include either a card, 3-D project, tag, bag, or gift idea.  Each email will include a picture of a project, materials used, and the directions on how to make it.

Shimmer Paint

This was a card demonstrated at the Cincinnati Regional by Cherie Hunt from Urbana, Ohio. Her workshop WOW was the many uses of the Shimmer Paint that we carry in the Holiday Mini Catalog. With this card she used the ornament punch to create a flower with leaves.  You can't see it very well in the photo but the flower sparkles.  She used a few drops of the paint into a spray bottle of alcohol.
